Patra Bharati started its journey way back in 1968 with the publication of monthly magazine - KISHORE BHARATI- a Magazine for the teens with unique style and content.

On August 3, 1981, Patra Bharati stepped into the field of book publishing with a view to create a kind of readership who care for honesty, value and rationality .

Since 1981 to 2001, Patra Bharati continued with KISHORE BHARATI along with different books on popular science and general knowledge, and classics authored by eminent writers. Another popular publication is Nante-Fante which got huge response from the readers.

Patra Bharati did not want itself to be branded as a publisher of children’s literature. It entered the domains of literature in general with books on history, critical essays, socio-economic studies, biographies, memoirs, progressive political documents and it was also involved in publishing short story collections, complete works of distinguished authors, important anthologies etc.

P B Group of Publications plans to bring more publications under its umbrella. One such publication is Shishuswapna Prakashan — which is dedicated to publish books for children and younger readers. Another publication Bee Books is coming up with grandeur — and this publication will keep its strong focus on English books only.

Patra Bharati is also planning to publish a new monthly magazine ‘Swapna’ which will be a close ‘friend’ of all adult readers.

The venture which was started in 1968 is spreading its wing to cater to the people who loves good books as a companion.
